Please see the attached test view, I have set up a style class with properties for hover, focus and disabled element states. The disabled element state is ignored by the dropdown component.

I was able to replicate the behavior you described locally. I'm going to take this back to the team and work on next steps. Thanks for letting us know.
Edit: Looks like we already had a ticket in for this issue, I've updated the title of the post to refer to our internal ticket number, which are referenced in updates to our nightly builds.
