I just attempted, accidentally, to rename the tag within a UDT inside of the instance instead of the template, and it let me, however strange things happened once I pressed enter…
I renamed a tag within .../Centrifuges/1 UDT instance from Bowl Speed to Bowl Speed PV, and then 1 disappeared and was replaced by a gap and a UDT tag, both of type float:
I tried it again, and couldn’t get it to convert to a float again:

Ignore the super slow tag editing… I have another issue with my Designer
