When setting the modal option to true while the docked view’s ‘Display’ parameter is set to ‘onDemand’, and then changing the Display parameter to ‘visible’ the modal option appears to affect the behaviour and allow the user to dismiss the docked view even though the option appears to be greyed out in the designer. Below is the configuration which causes this behaviour to happen.
The “fix” I found for this is to go back to onDemand and set ‘Modal?’ back to false which in turn restores normal behaviour to the docked view.
