Hi all!
I’ve encoutered this bug in Ignition 8.3 Maker’s edition, both in designer and runtime.
I cannot reproduce it, but I was playing around adding and removing tags, changing default tag provider, databases.
I tried to remove and add the power chart, restart Ignition service, and restarting the PC, but nothing has helped so far

I'm assuming the issue is that you're not doing anything to cause it to flicker like that?
The issue is somewhat related to the tags provider or DB behind the powerchart. During development I changed tags or did something. I was able to fix it once, but I encountered it again.
I will write a guide soon
You still haven't described what the actual issue is though, we re just guessing from your screen recording

Hi, I have the exact same problem.
Did you find a fix to this?
Hi, I have this same issue, did you find the solution?
We don’t know, in my case I was simply trying to use the power chart but as soon as I add a pen it starts glitching at the rate of the ‘refreshRate’ property, it loads the chart with the right trend and the pens for a split second and then it goes back to that ‘No Trend Data Source available.’ Message as if the pens had not been added. But in the properties they are still there and it still shows it for a moment correctly before going back to that greyed out chart.
Mind you this is a fresh new view and new power chart, there are no binding or anything customized that could affect the component.
Hey, sorry late answer for this issue.
I was able to fix the problem, but could not write a step-by-step guide and it was a bit long ago.
What I found out, it’s related to only one project, did not affect any others I created as new.
What could help me somehow is to export and import the project, deleting the historian and DB and recreating them. Deleting cache files in project directory.
