Copy and paste, becomes greyed out, the work round seems to be to open another window or template, and right click on any component.
Then return to the original screen and component and it works again.

This happens to me multiple times a day 
I am having the same issue and it is making things quite difficult. I am using 8.1.31. if i need to delete something it can be done in the project tree on the right side. sometimes closing windows and opening them will allow it to start working again but right now thats not even working.
