Yea, unfortunately Ignition inherited this trait from FPMI. Now that I have well over 2,000 designer hours behind the wheel of both FPMI and Ignition, I would suggest standardizing Ignition component text formatting in one place: with embedded HTML. It easily trumps component text formatting properties, since it can do pretty much anything I, or better yet, the client can imagine like right justify or center wrapped text.
Then the next suggested step would be to add a “Disabled text format” property similar to your “Disabled Image Path”. Then IA doesn’t have to manage that functionality anymore, the designer would. (happy to help
