Can a Ignition Edge communicate with multiple Ignitions?

We have a plant with a bunch of Ignition Edge that have a Ignition gateway on the top.
If I add a new Ignition Gateway, would there be a problem to have the Edge send the data to the gateway at the same time as the other Gateway.

Reason is to not interfere with the Ignition gateway and have a new one to create a bunch of script for other task and still have the data from the Edge machines.

Could you not just let the new Ignition Gateway grab the data from the original Ignition Gateway via Gateway network and remote tag provider?
