I am getting confusion regarding the usage of getRole() method in ignition. This question makes me think why can’t we use this getRole() in all the scripting locations inside the ignition to enhance the security.

scope is vision. so doesnt work in gateway.
Its a function to get the roles of a user. The gateway does not know which user you would be looking at.
