Can I reconnect to the network after being disconnected in the designer?

I was working in the designer when I lost connection to the gateway. I now get an error when I try to save:

com.inductiveautomation.ignition.client.gateway_interface.GatewayException: No session found. You must re-login. (Users.getCurrentUser)

Is there a way to login again without relaunching the designer?

I tried to recreate this condition by editing a page, and then simply removing the ethernet connection. However, when I plug the ethernet connection back in, the connection is reestablished on its own with no other intervention on my part.

Can you provide more details about the gateway interruption?

I had this issue when I used the hostname instead of the IP for the gateway. Most likely due to DNS config/Docker, I've not resolved it, though IP works just fine.
