can we have a hybrid redundancy by having one server on cloud and other in premiss?
I don’t see why it couldn’t work if the servers can see each other, through a router presumably.
Technically, this might work, but redundancy wasn’t designed to work under these performance constraints.
It might work but I personally would not recommend it. Redundancy was designed with low latency in mind, as it has to sync constantly. Introducing high latency may negatively impact your application, even when it’s running on the primary node, because of all the background work going on. Ymmv, depending on what your application is doing, how it’s configured, what modules are being used, etc.
