Question for clarification, When we should decide to go for Canary labs Historian ? What's the advantages of Canary Labs than Ignition historian?
I've been suggesting it to clients where there's a lot of tags to be historized or they need more features than what the Ignition historian is capable of. One main advantage is that the storage requirements between the 2 is drastically different. Larger projects where we're historizing lots of analog values, the Canary Labs historian can store that data in a fraction of the space that Ignition requires. Canary Labs also stores this data in plain files, so to back up Canary requires regular backup software compared to someone having to know how to backup or restore databases properly.
