Hello. My plant has 2 Ignition Gateways running in it. One is on version 8.1.37 the other is 7.9.17. If I have my laptop setup to connect to one, I cannot connect to the other. But if I go out, plug into the other one and get everything setup to run I can't get into the first one.
When going into the 88.1.37, I get Launch Client Jar Invalid.
When going into the 7.9.17 I get jar download gateway http:... .jar reported a temporary overload.
Any suggestions?
You need separate launchers.
Sorry, should have mentioned that. I do have one for either one. the 7.9 launches from the blue icon with orange logo, the 8.1 launches from a white and orange icon. I am assuming they are the proper launcher for either, as I downloaded them from the gate page.
What does this mean? Are you physically changing networks? If that's necessary why would you expect to be able to connect to both at once?
When I am on a wired connection to our in-plant network, I can connect to either one. But first I have to physically connect to one or the other to be able to access it. I am not sure how to explain it nay better. I am still fairly new to all of this, and some of the things I have been told were just kind of hand wavy, this is how we do it things.

You might want to open a support ticket, they can do a screen share with you and try to better understand what's going on.
It sounds to me like you may be on different networks. Depending on if you have any routers in place, you might be able to set up gateway connections on all devices to allow inter-VLAN communications, or if there are no gateways and they are on different networks, this isn't an Ignition problem, but a networking problem (and may be in place this way for a reason)
