Cannot Read OPC Tag

I have Logix Emulate setup to an OPC server and If I use the OPC quick client, I can individually read and write from tags but I cannot subscribe to them, and I cannot read them in the designer itself.

Some OPC servers have problems. The work-around in most cases is to use a tag group in OPC read mode.

Could you elaborate, how exactly do I create a tag group that is read-only

Not read-only, but read instead of subscribed. In the linked doc, where you see OPC Properties, change “Data Mode” from “Subscribed” to “Polled”.

This does not change anything, I still cannot read any tags
