Hello,
I am able to view my gateway from another computers browser on the same LAN using the maker edition after adding a rule to the firewall allowing port 8088 incoming connections (as well as all the other future ports I may need based on another post's PDF guide).
I cannot, however reach the gateway from my android phone's browser, let alone the Ignition perspective app.
I have tried http://192.168.1.180:8088, https:// ..., perspective:// ...
I have tried this with the firewall disabled on Windows completely, and also tried port forwarding on my att router settings, although I may have done that wrong. I switched everything back.
Any ideas on what to try next? I haven't seen another post where someone could not connect with their phone with mobile data disabled, on the same network, but had a working connection with another laptop..
EDIT: Solution was, at least to get going, to disconnect the host laptop from wired ethernet and go to wifi. Same network. Now to figure out how to do it when it is in its dock (with wired ethernet).
I've wasted hours debugging a fancy router configuration at home only to find that the "server" laptop was cabled and in the secure zone, the "client" laptop was connected via guest WiFi and so had no access to the secure zone. Logging the client into the secure zone fixed the problem.
Well, you need to check your android phone, there should not be firewall setting, and you also need to check network configuration of server. If still doesn't work then can contact for ignition support.
Thanks
Are you 100% sure that your phone, gateway, and the other client machine are all on the same network? If your android phone is on mobile data and not connected to the same network, then you won't be able to just browse to that gateway.
