Can't connect using Design Launcher...Certificate trust error

Hello,

Have been using Ignition on this PC for over a year. This morning, I attempted to connect using Design Launcher and received the error that there was no trusted certificate. I used the TRUST button to trust the certificate (there is one listed under DETAILS that has my name/organization on it) but I still get the COnnect Error…SSL Certificate is required for gateway but was not trusted. Javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException. No name matching localhost found

I do not believe that there were any updates performed since I’ve had it disconnected from the internet for a few weeks. I did upgrade a few user permission levels in Windows (not Ignition), but that should not have done anything.

Please help.

Thanks,

Brian

Version?

Are you using the jnlp web launch? If so use the client launcher instead and see if that works.

Good Morning!

I am using the app DESIGNLAUNCHER.EXE. I’m just dumbfounded that it stopped working. Obviously a security thing…and it says as much…but the TRUST option doesn’t fix the problem.

The launcher is the one that downloads from the local host logon page, upper right corner (localhost:8088)

Thanks!

Brian

Sorry…version 8.1.43
