It’s been an uphill battle for the past day with Designer. Yesterday’s battle was discovering dragging components from the toolbox into containers isn’t allowed, nor is pasting into containers, but at least least I was able to work with it and save the project.
Today I can’t save projects from any PC to the gateway. I’ve increased the timeout to 120s. I increased Designer memory on the gateway to 4GB. I increased Designer’s memory heap to 8GB. I’m running Designer on a 16-core PC with 64GB of RAM and this just isn’t working. The other machines I’m running Designer on are quite as powerful but somewhat close. The gateway is running on a VM with 4 cores and 16GB of RAM.
All I have in my project is one main view with 3 containers and a map. I thought I would be able to get a lot farther with it in one day. I hope someone can steer me to a good solution before I cut my losses here.
