Central Server alarm counts exclude remote alarms

Hi all,

I have a top menu which includes an alarm icon with a super-imposed number of alarms on it. This references the System/Alarming folder alarm counts to decide both colour and count for the operators.

The visualisation is all on a central perspective with a gateway network of ~10 remote Edge IIoT gateways to collect data locally. The current alarms and alarm journal all correctly sync all sites and display correctly however seemingly none of the remote alarms are included in the central gateways System alarming folder counts. I have been looking around and cannot find if this is intended behaviour or perhaps a config error on my behalf, and if so how to fix it.

I appreciate I could do a periodic script to maintain global alarm status on tags or similar in the default tag provider but I was hoping there may be a better way.

Any help would be appreciated

NB: Running 8.3.4 on all gateways

Intended behavior.

The alarming count in the system folder is whatever is in that gateway's alarm model. With a remote tag provider, the "receiving" gateway is not actually holding the alarm model for the remote tags.

You could use a reference tag (in each Edge system) to "re-export" the Edge system's local alarm count into a tag you could view in the central system.
