We are looking to deploy an Ignition setup on a central virtual server and login to the software from all over the world(only employees on our network). I am concerned about potential lag and was wondering if anyone else has examples of completing this, or if the Ignition team sees any potential concerns. I have launched the software from other plants before on the network with some lag but I have assumed to this point that was due to the poor upload of our site(deliberate slow upload at the site). Any breakdown of experience with this topic would be much appreciated.
The only concern I can think of is lag caused by network/WAN latency. Other than that you should be good.
yeah I have 4-5 different installations out for customers where employees and contractors log in from various means of connections with no issues.
