Chrome doesn't permit JAVA version check?

Anna helped me solve a problem with roster-list population today - switching over to Chrome from IE8 cleared that one up. However, I later found that IGNITION 7.6.3 cannot confirm that a valid version of JAVA exists on my machine. IE8, ancient though it is, does permit confirmation of version. I am quickly learning to like Chrome 30.0.1599.101 m, but what is it not doing that keeps the Gateway from successful version confirmation?

FYI though I can’t speak for earlier version of Ignition or Chrome, Chrome 31.0.1650.63 does confirm acceptable JAVA version present for us running Ignition 7.6.4 (b2013112117) | 32/64-bit.

Version 32 of chrome detects here, just an FYI.

The gateway does not do the validation check of Java. The browser does. Even if this verification fails, you can still run the client. Just have to make sure Java is associated to run jnlp files.
