Dear Exports Team,
We are currently using Ignition version 8.3.9, which we recently upgraded to.
Before upgrading to 8.3.9, we were unable to open our Perspective application from a workstation or mobile device within our network, even after trying the trial/reset option.
As I understand from the information available online, if we have an Ignition Perspective license, a separate license is not required for accessing the application from a workstation or mobile device. However, I would like to confirm whether this is correct.
To troubleshoot the issue, we installed Ignition 8.3.9 on my laptop using the trial license. The Perspective application is working correctly on the laptop, including access from the workstation/mobile environment.
This makes us suspect that there may be a difference between the configuration or installed modules on our production server and the laptop installation.
Could you please help us clarify the following?
Is there any additional module or component that needs to be installed or enabled on the production server?
Is a separate license required for workstation or mobile access to a Perspective application?
Are there any specific Perspective configuration, gateway settings, or network settings that we should verify?
Could you please advise what we may be missing on the production server compared with the laptop installation?
If required, we can provide the installed module list, licensing.
Please find the attached image for your reference.
Thank you for your support and clarification.
