Client Launcher using https

customer wants to use secure connections to V7.9.14 Gateway. Client Launcher installation will not accept as a manual Gateway https://10.7.122.165:8043.
is there a way to get Client Launcher to manually connect to a gateway using a secure connection?

I can connect to gateway using standard http://10.7.122.165:8088

In 7.9 I think you need to use something like this: 10.7.122.165:8088:8043.

Both the HTTP and HTTPS ports must be accessible. The client will switch from HTTP to HTTPS after it launches.
