Clustered columns with XY Chart

Using Perspective 8.1

Any idea how to create clustered columns like this AM Chart example:

I can create multiple columns (using multiple series), but I can not get the extra spacing between groups.

I think this topic has come up multiple times and the solution is to add in an additional series with zero values. It's a bit of an odd omission from the XY Chart features.

I did not. And I couldn't find any other topics on this. I would love to see other suggestions like the zero value one from Transistor.

Searching for XY Chart space throws up a list of questons - some of which look relevant.
