Can I have conditional history tag??? I mean, if I have a discrete data type tag, I want to store this data, only it the tag is true or 1. Is it possible to do this by scripting???
I had a similar question a while back but my “trigger” condition was more complicated (based on PLC connectivity, Date value in one of the tags being logged, and a non-zero value in another). There are likely a number of ways to do this but Ignition has a tool called Transaction Groups that is designed to handle just this solution. It can log one or many tags to a database for later viewing and historizing. Hot this helps.
