Connecting: determining protocol

i have an issue with a micrologix 1100 where it never connects an just shows that message any recommendation?

Yes. Post your configuration so we can see what it is.

  • Can you ping the PLC?
  • Can you browse the PLC's web server. (I think it has one.)
  • What is the network route between your Ignition gateway and the PLC?

Setup should be a matter of going to gateway's Config | OPC UA | Device Connections | Add new | select Allen-Bradley MicroLogix and enter the IP address.

Welcome to the forum.

yes i can ping the PLC, but no i cant access the web server, and here is the config, i have other devices that connected without any issue, so im a little puzzled as of why this one is giving me the headaches

and thank you for the welcome

Connection Path should probably be either 1,0 or blank.

I tried that, but still no success, i also tried accesing the port with telnet ip 44818 but no response whatsoever but the thing is that we are migrating a program form indusoft to ignition, and on indusoft they managed to get info from the plc hence they have connection

That usually points to an issue outside of Ignition. Firewall, wrong IP, device config, etc…

will try to check on that, just wanted to make sure that theres nothing more i can do from ignition

thanks for the help anyways, at least now I’m sure, where to look and where not to look

If the 1100 has old firmware, it may need to connect via port 2222.
