It would be really useful to have an option (maybe in the right-click menu) to convert a DB tag to an OPC tag, and vice versa.

Yes, this really would be simple to do. It doesn’t come up much, but it would be especially handy from time to time, like when you want to switch from a direct value to an expression. Since everything is based on tag path, you can currently just delete the tag and remake it, but as with everything, 1 step is better than more.
I’ll add it in as a 7.4 polish feature, and hopefully we can get it in.

This is in for 7.4. Was made even more necessary due to our decision to break out “db tags” into separate “memory”, “expression”, and “query” tags, which we felt was easier to understand.
