Convert vision project to perspective project

Is there any tool to convert vision project to perspective project including Tags, UDTs, Screens?

No need to convert tags and UDTs--those aren't particular to Vision.

There is no tool to convert Vision user interfaces to Perspective. The technologies are so different that I doubt such a thing is likely to ever exist.

I doubt it's free but there is this from Corso Systems:

Errr.. I know the guys at Corso are pretty darn good at Ignition, but as Phil said, these technologies are so epically different, I wouldn't ever use an automated conversion tool to do this. You'll end up with a poorly designed mess

I agree, I would go over anything that was automatically converted with a fine-toothed comb, but there is something out there.

Huh. That was unexpected. Kudos to Corso.

Is there anyone who has used the conversion tool and can vouch for it?

The only Vision to Perspective conversion we can talk about is Stonehenge Energy, there is a quote on our site from Jim Maloney who we did the project for. We have a number of other ones I can't give the name away on in a public forum, since everything is under NDA. Can pass along references if anyone would like to talk to someone about their experience.

Yes there are a lot of differences between Vision and Perspective, and yes our tool isn't free. That said we go through a full QA/QC process on every conversion, and usually do some manual template development as well since we're not always dealing with templates created on the incoming system.

Vision to Perspective projects are usually the easiest since all of the tags exist and we have a lot more tooling on the Vision side we can use to manage things in Perspective. Some of the other legacy platforms are much more impressive in terms of what we have done. Typically we are coming in around 1/3 the time of a manual conversion estimate, and about 40% of the cost. Cost is slightly higher than the time comparison since we will throw multiple people at the QA process to speed things along, especially when we have thousands of screens to go through.

I believe we will be doing some sort of non-stage presentation on the tool at ICC this year, still working out the final details of all of that. I don't think there are enough people at ICC who are looking at Ignition as an option to warrant a full blown presentation slot.

...is there a missing word, or am i deeply misinformed about the audience of ICC

I think the ICC audience is primarily people who are already using Ignition, not people looking to move away from something they currently have to Ignition.
