After couple of years of using Ignition on Windows machine, I decided to try it on a Linux machine, so installed VirtualBox Version 6.1.2 r135662 (Qt5.6.2) and setup an Ubuntu VM with VERSION="18.04.3 LTS (Bionic Beaver)". Following Inductive University's video, I installed Ignition 8.0.7 (b2019122014) [Operating System: Linux | amd64, Java Version: 11.0.5+10-LTS] on the Ubuntu VM.
I am able to open the Gateway and login with default credentials, however, I get a "CSRF token mismatch" error when restoring a Gateway Backup file. Google shows this error is related to "the browser not allowing cookies" and stands for Cross-Site Request Forgery. Ubuntu VM is using Firefox 72.0.1 (64-bit) to access the Gateway. Unfortunately I could not find any reference to a CSRF error in this forum, the only answer Google could provide was for people trying to write reviews for a website and getting rejected, the work around was to clear the cookies and add the website name to Allowed under Manage Permission of Firefox's "Tools->Options->Privacy and Security->Cookies and Site Date". I tried adding localhost, Ignition, InductiveAutomation to the Allowed list but to no avail.
Has anyone faced such CSRF Token Mismatch error during Gateway backup's restore operation on an Ubuntu machine? Thanks for your time.
