I have created a custom subset library for material icons to reduce loading times on a flex repeater, but wondering if this custom library would be included in a gateway backup.
Also, is there a way to include this custom library in the dropdown for the explorer? For now, I've just had to manually type paths.

I've done that. The icons display if I enter the path manually, but my new library file doesn't show up in the "icon picker" dropdown menu.
I haven't tried this myself. I was hoping the other thread's troubleshooting might help you out.
Have you restarted the designer since adding your custom library? It looks like the choices in the list are lazy-loaded and cached once, on designer initialization.

I had actually just restarted after my last response and got busy so I hadn't checked yet.
As for your other question,
My understanding is that yes, they will be, but you can always try on a test system to confirm.
