Need help or ideas. How would I approach creating alarms that show Hi or low live values in the alarm display?

My Apologies this is Vision.
What do you mean by alarm display? Typically live values are displayed in something like a numeric text field using a tag binding.
If the alarm was displayed for high limit and showing what the current reading of the hi limit is.

Typically I just make bindings to the value in the display path:
"Level High "+{[.]Output}+" > "{[.]SP/HI_SP}
