Hi,
I'm trying to synchronize data between a Central Gateway and an Edge Gateway. The idea is to have permanent data on the Central Gateway while the Edge will be limited to it´s capacity, which today is being about 10 days.
The history data is arriving on the Central Gateway but the problem is it´s not storing beyond the available data on the Edge. It´s being a mirror of the Edge history.
On the central gateway I configured a History Tag Provider like bellow
but it´s showing a faulted status, even considering that I can see the history on a PowerChart. But as I said, limited to the amount of data in the edge gateway .
You should have the historian on the central gateway, and the edge node connecting to it remotely.
Have a tag history splitter on the edge to send data to both the remote historian and a local historian
Hi,
I have had some progress but still a problem.
Now the data is going from Edge to the database in Central Gateway
, but when I try to plot it in powerchart it shows only a line.
It seems like it´s showing only the last value, the line keeps changing it´s position.
Is it really possible to show data from databases on powerchart?
Obs.: You said about a tag_history_splitter but I didn´t find this option on Edge. I'm doing it on Data Sync / Settings, where there´s onle way to put one "Remote History Provider Name".
It sounds like your configuration is scrambled in non-obvious ways. You should open a support ticket so IA can look over your shoulder.
Hi, sorry for the delay.
There was no problem with the configuration and it worked the way it was in the end.
I saw later that the straight line only appear in first time I was accessing (plotting) the data. I guess it was kind of a bug. Usually I just needed to update the browse tags and wait some seconds for it to be plotted correct. I don´t know how, but it´s not happening anymore. Maybe because at the begginnig there was a bunch of previous data on the edge to be sent to the central database.
