Database connection settings on a Backup only redundant node

Hello, I'm having some issues with a backup only node connecting to a database while the primary has no issue to the same database. I may be wrong here and the documentation talking about this I can no longer find due to the new manual change over awhile ago, but it use to mention that Database connections are unique to each node and that each node needs to be configured with its own connection settings. Everything else tags, opc connections, scripts etc... are all replicated over but not database connections specifically. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong but I'm very confident their use to be a line about this in the old documentation.

Which brings me to my problem IF thats true. I have a backup only licence and I can not force it to be independent or edit any of the database settings on it unless I unactivate the license which I would rather not do. Is their anyway for me to change the database settings? For reference the issue I have with the database connections is that I changed the login password and was able to set it corretly on the Master node however, not even forcing syncing replicated those settings over which led me down this rabbit hole.

Does anyone have documentation or information on how the settings on databases are shared across redundancy nodes? Am I wrong about database connection settings not being shared over? If not, is their some way I can edit the database settings without disabeling the Backup only License?

Any help would be appreciated.

This has never been true for database connections AFAIK.

You may be thinking about the Web Server settings.

Thanks for the swift response. I'll look into whats causing this weird issue with the secondary having issues connecting to the database then, seems like a me problem . Thankyou.

Each node needs its own local DB config, and that part has to be manually set. The old docs did mention this, but it seems that bit didn’t carry over to the updated manual.

Hmm, then would that mean the only way to set a backup nodes database connection would be to deactivate the license change the settings and reactivate it? Seems like a flaw? Or is their some other way?
