Date range components use on Microsoft Surface Pro 10

Hi there,

I have a ignition system based on vision module, I tried to run the client on Microsoft Surface Pro 10, 99% of the functions work well as it's windows operation system.

However in the trend screen, it will be hard to select the date range. Different than normal laptop, the Surface is operated by touch instead of mouse, so there's no left/right stretching arrows appear.

I understand vision module is not designed to be used on tablets,so it can't be said that this is a bug, but if anyone could tell me how to overcome this I would be very grateful.

You pretty much cannot use that date range component on touchscreens. I recommend switching the chart to Manual mode instead of Historical, and constructing larger, touch-friendly, input fields for date and time range manipulation.

:mag: The little magnifying glass icons on either side of the text field are buttons that will adjust the width of the blue bar. :mag_right:

That's not the problem. It is touching and dragging the tiny double-headed arrow that is near impossible on a touchscreen.

...but all dragging the arrow does is adjust the zoom :man_shrugging:

There are also built in arrow buttons for moving the selected date range around.

No, it doesn't. That highlighted double arrow is for altering the endpoint of the (query) date range without changing the start point. Similar for the double arrow on the other end. Dragging the blue section changes both ends, maintaining a constant duration.

No, those move the outer range, not the query range.

Yes, this is the issue I'm facing, blue section can be moved, although not very smooth. Double arrow function are almost impossible to achieve on the touch screen.
