Delete when non-selected component depends on selected

Can’t you just delete the dependencies or put a big red overlay on it?

I’m trying to replace a component with a newer version. I don’t want to have to delete a bunch of dependencies and then recreate them. I want to delete a component, drop in a new version of it, give it the same name and have everything work.

You can cheat around this issue if you’re careful. Select everything and copy it, paste into notepad. Adjust names accordingly and then you can delete the old component and all the dependencies should line up. Copy the text, and paste back into Ignition.
