Using Ignition 8.1.35 (version due to customer requirements), about two weeks ago my ignition designer started crashing every time I try to export tags. As soon as the file explorer opens to pick a location and name to save the export, the whole designer crashes and closes. I can occasionally get it to work but it is few and far between and cannot figure out what I do differently when it does work. Also have noticed that when it opens in read only mode, it used to pop up a message box when i would click a tag to edit the value (write once, change to read/write mode), well that box no longer pops up but an error message pops up, it will work if i change the designer to read/write mode however.
I’d check the designer's log file. But what’s the designer's memory set to? Is it high enough? (It’s set in the designer launcher's settings. The default is set in the gateway config)
if you are refering to heap size it doesnt look like it has been configured on the launcher settings as it is greyed out and still a max heap of 4096M but I know i set the max heap size in the ignition config file to 32Gig.
That's only for the gateway. Separate setting for the designer.
I will update it in the launcher settings and see what happens.
