Designer launcher can't see gateway

Hi all,
I have a system where the gateway is installed on a server, and I'm using a laptop to run Designer Launcher to build a Perspective-based system.
The issue I'm having is designer launcher can't see the gateway, but I can open the gateway via url from the same machine. Additionally, I can run a Perspective session from the gateway and everything functions properly.
When I attempt to add a designer manually, I get the message "Host unreachable". But if I copy and paste the exact address from that search window into a browser, I'm directed to the gateway.
I have checked my firewall settings and Designer Launcher is allowed through.
Is there anything obvious I'm missing? I'm stumped.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you try to add the IP address of the gateway into the designer rather than the domain name, does it work?

Alternatively, what happens if you open a command prompt and attempt to ping the server URL from there?

I'm sure this is showing my (lack of) understanding of the system.
I cant find the IP address associated with the URL.
I've looked in my gateway: http://cmwsdc-scada.copper.mtn:8088/ for the url and found nothing.
I've also tried pinging the above url to no avail.
But the gateway is functioning correctly. I was able to add another device (modbus) this morning and am having no issues communicating.
Thanks for the reply, any help is good!

Your IT department may have some kind of proxy set up, either system wide, or in your browser, that isn't being used by the Designer Launcher.

Maybe using Wireshark to record while you access the Gateway from a browser vs. from the Designer Launcher will be useful.
