Designer User Source changes Client User Source

I am trying to figure out how to set my Designer user source without affecting the Client User Source. I am trying to do this to be able to use roles and logins specifically for the Designer. I have two user sources and source ‘A’ is for logging into the designer and source ‘B’ is for logging into the client. When i change the user source under the properties of the project it changes my Client user source that is defined in the gateway under the project. I want to use the roles to protect windows and objects via designer user source ‘A’.

Source ‘A’ - Internal
Source ‘B’ - AD/Internal Hybrid

It sounds like you’re modifying just the Project’s User Source. If you want to change which User Source the Designer uses, you need to change the System User Source on the Gateway:

Configure section > Gateway Settings > System User Source.
