is it possible to develop on V7.6.2 64bit gateway ( my inhouse PC ) and restore backup on a 32bit gatway, ( customer’s PC) ?
I have had issues in the past restoring a 64bit gateway backup on a 32bit gateway.
Yes this should work nowadays, assuming that the restoration machine is 7.6.2 or later and has at least 2GB of memory. If the machine is 32-bit and the settings from the backup was more than 1024MB (common on 64-bit machines), the restoration code automatically reduces the wrapper.java.initmemory and wrapper.java.maxmemory settings in ignition.conf to 1024 MB.
