We are looking into connecting to weigh scales via WIFI, can we connect Ignition to devices using WIFI adapters?
Ignition doesn't know anything about what kind of network adapter you're using, if you have a route to it then it should be fine.
There might be other issues with speed or reliability to consider with WiFi but if you're not trying to poll super fast it's probably okay.
Brace yourself for erratic behavior, unless you use a continuous UDP-based protocol. The token-passing architecture of WIFI is hard on low-volume TCP content.
