DHRIO Drops node slip used

Since connecting Ignition to our existing 1756 - DHRIO rack, if one of the nodes is dropped, as in the PLC was turned off for a day. The node does not reestablish connection when the PLC gets turned back on. Is there a best practice available?
I have turned the poll rates down quite a bit. Nothing under 10 seconds, to prevent traffic issues.
Also am polling the same rack with Wonderware Historian - soon to be removed

System:
1756 EN2T
1756 DHRIO 7 cards - various firmware levels from 2.x to 6.x

Thank you.

I have a similar issue.

I have been going to config and telling them to reconnect because they do not reconnect automatically.
