I have a Allen Bradley 5/05 setup that i need to connect to via Ethernet. I think my issue is entering the correct Connection path. I want to direct connect and my SLC5/05 is in slot 0 of a 4slot chassis. I tried a connection path of 1,0 with no luck. i have tried several other variations. I entered the correct IP address into the Hostname field and left the timeouts as default. Can you help me?
Connection paths aren’t necessary for SLCs. They’re used for ControlLogix systems, where the processor can be put into any slot.
Try keeping it blank.
I leave mine blank or default.
JordanCClark and AxisIt are absolutely correct. If you are connecting directly to your SLC5/05 then you will not need to worry about the connection path.
