Displaying Keyence Camera Livefeed in Ignition Vision

Hi Ignition community. This is my first time using Ignition, and currently I am struggling to learn how am I able to display another app interface inside Ignition

As the image shows, this is Cognex vision control, showing in Ignition Vision.
I tried to ask around but I am not sure how is it possible.

Would be great if there are any inputs!
more to add, I am asking about the Keyence Model XG-X1000.

I need some guidance on what widgets to use to set this up. Thank you

No longer possible in modern Ignition, IIUC. That old tech used a java-ActiveX bridge that could not be ported to newer java versions.

I have a 3rd party module that is based on the CV-5k family monitor and control channels. I never got a chance to play with a CV-7k, CV-8k, CV-X, or XG models to decipher their newer channel format.

If you'd like to be a guinea pig for some reverse engineering, I'd be happy to help. (Won't be simple or quick, unfortunately.)

The Cognex family is better documented for integrators, fwiw.

Hi sir!
Thank you for replying!

Okay if that is the case, is it possible to just display the camera live feed only thru IP Camera Viewer?
What is needed from Ignition and Keyence to establish such a communication to show the livefeed?

That is precisely what my 3rd-party driver module does for the CV-5k family. The driver module would have to be extended to support the XG that you have. (Keyence changed the image channel format somehow.)

I see… thank you sir for the explanation

Sir last question, does Ignition have VNC?
thru VNC, Keyence XG-X1000 should be able to communicate with Ignition vision

If yes, how do I use show it in the HMI?
Thank you sir
