asking for a Solar PV SCADA design. Do we need to use Kepware to collect solar tracker data? Will using built in ignition Modbus module affect the performance of HMI as there will be more than 2200 SPCs? If we add the 2200 polls to Ignition, will it affect the performance of the HMI due to the additional polling via Modbus communication and thus slow down the inverter data update in the HMI?
2200 Modbus connections would probably be need to split off into a separate "IO" Gateway that the "front end" visualization Gateway made an OPC UA connection to. But there's probably people out there doing it all on one Gateway as well.
