We are working on a project where the client’s PLC supports only the OPC DA protocol. Does Ignition provide any built-in agent, service, or recommended solution to convert OPC DA to OPC UA so that it can connect to the Ignition Gateway?

Note that the gateway must run in Windows for the OPC DA compatibility.

If the gateway is running on a different machine, does it allow remote connection? And to connect to a remote PLC/DCS, is it necessary to have its IP address and ensure both machines are on the same network?
