Does the Redundancy order matter

I'm about to upgrade server on our existing gateway and add/setup redundancy.

Is it recommended to setup the server first than add the backup or setup the redundant pair and then get the master server up and running?

I'm assuming it doesn't matter but I didn't see anything in the manual. Thanks

how about updating an existing gateway and then adding a redundant backup? Any issues with the order?

As a general rule if setting up redundancy, I would do the upgrade to the existing server, then add the redundant server rather than adding a redundant server then upgrading both.

For a new install, I would get the primary server set up (backup restored) or whatever you're doing to set it up, then add the backup/redundant partner.

For upgrades, follow the guide @Kevin.Herron posted.
