We have a machine that use a Bosch PPC-R22.1 (with firmware GPP-10V44). Has anyone had experience with establishing communication with this device? It does have a built in ethernet port, which i am unsure what the IP address is configured as (if configured at all, i do not have VisualMotion software for this unfortunately). The manual does specify that is supports Ethernet/IP.
So the root of my question(s):
Is there software available (for download) that can configure the ethernet interface?
If i get the interface configured, how do you setup the coms with ignition?
I did find that the display (H1) on the controller will show the configured IP address, unfortunately it is showing XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX which i assume means the interface is not configured.
If you can get me any manuals or an EDS file, I could review its possible compatibility with my EtherNet/IP Class 1 driver.

I believe there is an EDS for this device in existence, I'll see if I can dig that up.
Yes, pretty nice interface. The cyclic functionality would be straightforward to support with my driver's scanner functionality ("Premium" in the V1 driver). The non-cyclic would have to be scripted (also through the scanner mode of the driver) for now. In the future, arbitrary class/instance/attribute access will be easily available in the V2 client mode driver.

Sounds good, i have been eyeballing your class 1 driver anyway. Now to try and get the interface configured.. Thank You
Hello Jacob. Were you able to find the IP address via the S1/menus? If so, I would like to know how. I'm at a disadvantage since I'm trying to figure this out remotely.
If I recall correctly, pressing S1 should scroll through a few displays, one of them being the IP address. I believe it will show even if the interface is not configured (mine showed 0.0.0.0).
