Is there a guide to explain this process step by step?
I have done DWG to DXF in autocad 2012.
I have imported the DXF to InkScape without much luck…
It seems like I am losing much of my drawging by doing this.
Can someone explain to me how they accomplish this and I can emulate what you do.
DraftSight is pretty useful in this regard. It can open your dwg and dxf files and export them directly to svg. It doesn’t really optimize the layout at all so I’d clean up the drawing as much as possible so you’re not dealing with 500+ objects on the screen.
