EAM Edition License Functionality

Hoping someone can clarify the EAM edition licensing for me...

I see that there are two licensing editions to EAM: 'Single Controller or Agent' and 'Controller + Unlimited Agents'. If I were to purchase the 'Single Controller or Agent' edition, does that mean I can only set one gateway as the controller OR one gateway as an Agent?

If so, what exactly would that license do for me if I don't have any Agent gateways to execute tasks on? Would I have to purchase another 'Single Controller or Agent' license for each Agent Gateway until it makes sense to purchase the 'Controller + Unlimited Agents' edition?

The single license is mostly for small quantities of servers, or where some gateways have EAM already present (modern Edge, IIRC).

If you have a large set of standard edition gateways, you should buy the controller+unlimited and put it on your central controller.
