Edge Upgrade to V8.0.12

Hello,

I have an Opto Groov EPIC as the edge device. It runs a licensed Ignition Edge V7.9.12. Now that an upgrade to Ignition Edge V8.0.12 is required:

  1. Edge gateway is accessible from a browser with the URL having the IP of Groov EPIC device. Should we run the upgrade file on any PC that have network access to the edge device?

  2. If I have Ignition Gateway configured in the same PC, should I use the same installation folder? (to run stop.ignition.bat, remove lib as described in the upgrade procedure)

  3. Would this upgrade have an impact on the license?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Best bet is to get with Opto-22. I believe that their Ignition installation is part of their firmware.
