I am now having the same issue. The official Engel documentation says that you have to navigate to the “Production management system” page to trust the certificate. This page is only available on CC300 software versions 4.82 and newer. Has anyone found out how to trust the certificates on software versions older than that?
Are you sure it's exactly the same issue? Can you provide a full stack trace of the error?
It's possible that older versions of that software simply trusted all certificates, and it's actually on the Ignition side that you need to mark the Engel server certificate as trusted.
Yes, it should be the same issue. From UA Expert and Kepware it gives me the same error. However from the Ignition gateway setup it does not give the error. Using the Ignition Quick Client I can browse the machine and see the default tags available on the machine. The Engel documentation shows how to expose additional tags to the Euromap 77 connection using UA expert, but I cannot do that until I am able to trust the UA expert connection certificate (even with using the username and password login type of authentication instead of authentication via certs). The newest machine software version I have is 4.80, but I have all the way back to 4.72.
If anyone knows of a way of adding the additional parameters using the Ignition OPC client, I’d much prefer to go that route.
