Equipment Scheduler - Perspective - How to Bind to Dataset

I am trying to set up the Equipment Scheduler in Perspective to pull the information from our MySQL database. In the video (4 Ignition Exchange Resources for Perspective - YouTube at the 8:00 min marker) it shows where the items, scheduledEvents, downtimeEvents, and breakEvents are all connected to datasets although I don't see the binding icon to the left of those.
At the top of my attachment you can see I wasn't able to get the list of items to connect and populate via dataset but I was able to create a binding for the "line down" color and icons.
Using scheduledEvents as an example for my question here, I can manually enter the information into the array to get the order boxes to appear and function but when I try to bind to a dataset I can not get it to work. Could someone provide an example of the binding used for the connection like in the video referenced above? I have also attached the test table that I created (I know the dates would need to be updated). Any help would be appreciated, I am just not getting it.

Here is a clip of the video where they are using datasets to populate the scheduledEvents, etc. I would like to see an example of the binding used there.

You'll have to dig around. The binding is likely on a custom property and has a valueChange event script that writes it to .scheduledEvents.
